Take some time to reflect on report cards with your child. Think about work habits, effort and motivation. Set some goals for quarter two and help your child reach his/her new goals.
It’s Red Ribbon Week, October 23rd -28th – “Drug Free is Key for a Bright Future!” Monday – Bright Future Day – wear a bright color, Tuesday- Knock your socks off to drugs – wear crazy socks, Wednesday – Red Spirit Day – wear red, Thursday – Hats off to being drug free – wear a hat to school, Friday – green spirit day – show your Oakstead Pride.
*Thursday is also walk your child to school day- meet the PE coaches at the Oakstead Club House @ 9 AM to join in on the walk.
Wild West Book Fair is here this week October 24th-27th for students to purchase books at their teacher’s discretion during the school day. Book Fair is open to parents on Friday, October 27th from 6-8 pm (during the Fall Festival)
This Friday!! Oakstead Fall Festival on October 27th from 6:00-8:00 Join us for fun fall festivities including lots of games, hay rides, pizza and hot dogs, etc. See flyer in Tuesday folder for more information.
We are also gearing up for our annual Book Character Parade and Literacy Day on October 31st! Families, please plan to join us around 9:50 and don’t forget to bring your drivers license for check in.
Reminder every Monday our staff and students will be wearing Kindness Matters shirts to promote our school theme. If you did not purchase a shirt, your child may still join in by wearing teal! Green spirit is every Friday! Wear your Oakstead, 5th grade leadership, or any green shirt to show your school spirit!

Offering Excellence To All Students
Oakstead Elementary is a community school located within the Oakstead Subdivision in Land O Lakes, Florida. Just north of Tampa Bay, Oakstead opened it’s doors in 2006 as part of Pasco County Schools. Currently our school serves over 750 students in grades pre-k through five. This year our school-wide motto is Kindness Matters. Teachers, students and parents can work together to create students who are College, Career, and Life Ready.

All Pro Dad’s Day is a simple idea with a profound impact. It’s a one-hour monthly breakfast held before school where fathers and their children meet with other dads and kids in the school cafeteria or a local restaurant.
