Note From Mrs. Kimpland & Mrs. Stine
All the hard work is paying off as we continue to see great results on our quarterly assessments. This week your child will be taking a math quarterly assessment. We’re hoping to see even better results than last quarter. As we get ready to go into spring break, it is important to try and keep up good study habits. Keep reading with your child daily and have them spend a little time on Dreambox too. Stamina is a big factor in gaining high achievement scores on the FSA and we will be jumping into those right after break, so every little bit helps! However, the most important thing over spring break is for your child to get extra time to have fun with family and friends!
We are still gearing up for our Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) event on April 6th! We’re hoping to see some great baskets to raffle off during the event. Please consider donating an item to go in your child’s grade level basket. It is a wonderful evening celebrating survivors, remembering loved ones, and keeping the hope that one day cancer will be not here, not there, not anywhere!
Reminder every Monday our staff and students will be wearing Kindness Matters shirts to promote our school theme. If you did not purchase a shirt, your child may still join in by wearing teal! Green spirit is every Friday! Wear your Oakstead, 5th grade leadership, or any green shirt to show your school spirit.
